A perfect Springtime blog to invite me into my local New England bog for a jolly jog! I'm so excited to go hike after a three-month's convalescence from my broken leg and sprained ankle! No more climbing boulder fields to hug a tree in too-big, non-hiking shoes!

Ah yes, free land.

My great, great, Grandfather David W. Breeding, with five sons and some of his brothers moved from Kentucky in 1833 is search of that "Free Land" they had been told about. Ah, but it came with a few ingrained problems not being told about. Like unscrupulous public officials, a Mexican dictator named Santa Anna and last but not least the Lipan Apache along with the Comanche Indians.

Early Texans, as they referred to themselves along with the resident Tejanos began to respond to the mistreatment from Mexico. along wit repeated raids by the Indians. Much like the current mistreatment now stemming today from those in control in Washington. Now as in the 1800's one will see good people regardless of political party, Church preferences or social status eventually bond together.

This nation is now faced with a flood of uninvited others looking for free land, free rent, free health care and free what else they can wheedle from this current free to all government. Let us pray that good people will see what is happening and bond together to put a halt to the free to everyone administration now in power. This may truly be our last opportunity to save our republic. To quote Benjamin who said, " Ah yes , you now have a republic, if you can keep it."
