I've studied the Hebrew feasts that point to Messiah. But I can't think of anything pertaining to the spiritual implications of a solar eclipse, except that the moon passes between two celestial bodies, and this reminds me of covenant with God. In the Abrahamic covenant, God the Creator, in the form of two symbols of His glory and justice, passed through the center of a sacrifice, split in two by Abram under the Father's direction, in order to make covenant with Abram, bringing promises dependent upon His sovereign will. Genesis 15:17 Something about the moon passing between two celestial bodies reminds me of God's covenant with His redeemed. I want always to be on His side of righteousness, hid with Christ in the Father. Just my thoughts you invited, Anita.

You may be curious - here's the link navajotraditionalteachings.com The eclipse is a time for quiet reflection, renewal, to show respect for-to the-our creator. For the creator wants us all to live within peace, harmony & goodness. My humble comment.

I can only imagine how terrifying a solar eclipse was in the days before we understood the movements of the solar system. Such an event would have created the opportunity for some people to create a narrative to further their ambitions for wealth and power. I am thankful that we enter into this eclipse with both understanding of the mechanism and wonder at the magnificence.

Love those glasses—I have a matching pair!! This will be an interesting weekend here in FBG. Definitely avoiding Main Street, it will be crazy. If the weather is cloudy, we may have a few less visitors!

Thanks Anita. We are not near this...Thank God...I see many warnings about it as in 1811 after the last big one like this crossed over they had major earthquakes and the Mississippi river ran backwards...wow.. and I believe this is a very Biblical and a call for us to repent once again or Judgement will come upon America. It may not come right away like in 1811 but it did happen shortly after. And many lost lives too...Just Pray that's all we can do...Thanks for the update ...you are so interesting I love your stories. Thanks Sandra....Remember "God is in control"..

as you noted regarding Genesis 1:14, the celestial bodies in the heavens tell of both signs (signals/warnings) and times (day, night, months, seasons, years & appointed times of God). therefore, it's not a stretch to conclude that eclipses also indicate some kind of marker of God. perhaps, if nothing else, it's a reminder that humans are not in control of the creation and that it should repent of its sins... and what better time than this to give such a reminder when blatant corruption & filth has reached an all time high throughout the entire world.

i remain convinced we are at the very end times, and therefore, rather than making any assumptions regarding this eclipse, i thought i'd share the following video which outlines the entire plan of God, according to the Bible (rather than church organizations).

The ONE who created the two lights (sun and moon), strategically placed them and charts their course, said “…it is good.” I’m going to “hang my hat”, in quiet confidence, that His plans will be done and these plans are for our benefit.

”God made two great lights – the greater light to govern the day and the lesser light to govern the night. He also made the stars. God set them in the vault of the sky to give light on the earth, to govern the day and the night, and to separate light from darkness. And God saw that it was good. And there was evening, and there was morning – the fourth day.“

P.S. I'll be in Paducah, KY, on the Mississippi River, on Monday in the path of totality at my sister's home. Hope the mighty, muddy Mississippi stays put! Lol
